Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

I’d rather keep this simple, so here is what happens with your information when you visit Ed’s WayPoints.

Who I am

This site is run by me, Ed. You can reach me anytime through the Contact page.

What I collect

Visit data. I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which posts get read, and roughly where readers are located. It uses cookies and collects things like your browser type, device, and general location. I can’t see who you are from it, and I use it only to learn which posts are helpful.

Messages you send me. If you use the contact form, I get the name, email address, and message you type in. It arrives in my email and stays in my mailbox. I use it to write back to you. That’s all.

Server records. My web host, Hostinger, keeps routine technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

What I don’t do

I don’t sell your information. I don’t run ads. I don’t use social media, so there are no social tracking buttons on this site. Comments are turned off, so nothing you read here asks you to sign up or leave details.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser. If you’re visiting from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Analytics stays off until you consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work fine.

Links to other sites

My posts sometimes link to other sites, such as hotel programs and card issuers. I don’t control those sites or their privacy practices, so check their policies when you get there.

Your choices

Want me to delete a message you sent me, or have a question about anything here? Contact me and I’ll take care of it.

Changes

If I change how the site works in a way that affects this policy, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
